Council Flats 3

Description

EDIT: The Council Flats competition has been retired due to lack of interest and a lack of time to do free designs for prizes in. The correct answer was St John's Close, Rishworth, West Yorkshire, UK. [link] should show you its location. Use Street View and head down the hill, look behind the garages where a bloke's opening his garage door. That long roof with the white box on the wall (which wasn't there when I built my CAD model of the building). It is a block of 8 council flats and apparently won an architectural award despite wrecking the hillside's drainage.

<CLUE> This is almost exactly the only angle from which you can view the building in question from Google Street View. And part of what you see in this CAD picture is obscured even then. </CLUE>

Please see 'Council Flats' (no number appended to the title) in the gallery for details of the competition.

This is the rear of the building, where the ground floor flats have rear doors onto small flagstoned areas and a communal grassy area a wee bit too rough to call a lawn.
