The cheaply-edited effect on this image is actually deliberate, as it's meant to resemble the effects so obviously edited in to the cover art for many a LEGO(R) set's box and instructions, particularly in the 90's. The same could be said for Hornby's Scalextric packaging of said era too.
That and I'm one person and I don't have infinite time to hone an image to perfection - I'd rather spend it doing the same to the model as much as I can.
