Got any old or unwanted LEGO bricks languishing in the loft or becluttering your basement? For our larger projects (particularly in order to create things that'll be used as art rather than directly sold) we need LEGO, lots of it and haven't got an enormous budget for it. So, if you can, please drop us a Note!

The way DNA is made and the way Lego fit together have some remarkable similarities, which is why I always knew it would be possible to model the DNA double helix in Lego. It's a bit tricky but I've found a way that fits together and can be built easier in real life than on a computer.

In other news, the Council Flats competition has been retired due to lack of interest and a lack of time to do free designs for prizes in. The correct answer was St John's Close, Rishworth, West Yorkshire, UK. [link] should show you its location. Use Street View and head down the hill, look behind the garages where a bloke's opening his garage door. That long roof with the white box on the wall (which wasn't there when I built my CAD model of the building). It is a block of 8 council flats and apparently won an architectural award despite wrecking the hillside's drainage.

Vulpine Designs Unlimited was established at 9:00 on Monday 19th October 2009.
Which means it's about time I updated this description.

Why are all things modular? Why is every atom and molecule reconfigurable?
I'm sure there are great answers to those questions out there. But whatever those answers may be, Vulpine Designs Unlimited works to apply a holistic approach to the design of all kinds of cool things through the medium of Lego and expanded to include all things which can be altered in a Lego-like way. This concept and the urge to reconfigure ourselves and our lives are known together as Freedom Of Form.

Freedom Of Form: A product of community spirit. The future comes in a kit. Many other variants that end in 'it'.

There is now a Freedom Of Form Forum at www.vulpinedesigns.co.uk for those who agree with these philosophies.

The fox in charge is Danfox Davies, self-described furry and Pirate Party member. I do not expect you to allow any sentiments you hold for either of those things to bias you against me or my work, because I believe that you, the reader of this page, are of sufficient intelligence to see past cultural stigma. In other words, here I am, this is me, what you see is what you get and my main DA page is behind this icon: :icondsdfox:
